We have a FANTASTIC SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY as a Wound Clinic Lead Nurse based at Derby City Wound Clinic.
We are looking for Band 5 or a Band 6 with significant post-registration experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain experience of providing operational management for the immediate team.
This Band 6 post will require a proactive and energetic individual who will be responsible for a number of staff management duties including attendance management, performance issue's and appraisals.

Main duties of the job
To support your team through changes and developments.
Responsible for overall Caseload Management. Monitor standards of care, deploying and supervising team members as appropriate and the daily management of own workload.
To know when to escalate clinical or operational issues to direct line manager.
Co-ordinate the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs which reflect the individual needs of patients and carers.
Be aware of current local and national issues which are influencing services
Facilitate, develop, evaluate, and share good working practice.
Act as a champion for the wound clinic service area as required.
Have the initiative to respond to challenging unpredictable situations/behaviours within the caring environments. To manage any complaints, errors, concerns and other untoward occurrences in line with local policies, procedures and guidelines (this includes issues relating Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children)
Be aware of current local and national issues which are influencing services.
Facilitate, develop, evaluate and share good working practice.
Actively support the development of a culture that is open to change and innovation.
