Experienced Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

Job summary

We are a large and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy service of around 100 staff, working across all service areas in Derbyshire.

This exciting opportunity has arisen in the children's team and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced speech and language therapist with specialist skills in working with DLD and speech sound disorders

The role will also provide a clinical service to children and young people with a range of communication difficulties in a variety of settings, including education settings, nurseries, clinics and clients' homes.

The role is 0.5 wte and covers the Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Area.

Main duties of the job

All our therapists work with children who have a wide range of speech, language, communication and eating and drinking needs. This post has an additional specialist areas of interest in DLD and speech sound disorders The post holder needs to have post graduate experience in this area.

The successful candidate will be a HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist and be mobile between locations.

They will be proficient in their abilities to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice, with a proven ability to provide leadership and support within an SLT service.

You will work alongside a friendly team of SLTs, SLPs and SLTAs, with line management support from an SLT team leader, as well as having access to clinical supervision and relevant CPD opportunities.

You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of patient-focused care and be a strong team player.
