Job summary

Derbyshire Community Health Services has a great opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our Derbyshire Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy team, based in Erewash and Amber Valley.We offer a supportive environment with senior clinical mentorship and leadership support across all of our teams.We have an established mentorship and in-service training programme, offering CPD time. People joining the Trust would be eligible to join the DCHS preceptorship programme.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to be flexible, to move across sites according to the department needs and therefore transport will be essential.Full and part time hours will be considered.As a DCHS employee it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.

As a Physiotherapist working within our service you will:

Assess, diagnose, advise and treat patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Be responsible for the management of patients on your caseload.

Maintain professional autonomy, being responsible for the management of your own patients whilst working within Trust and National guidelines.

You will be a key member of the outpatient physiotherapy team responsible for delivering a high quality physiotherapy service.

You will have previous experience of working as a physiotherapist, including working in musculoskeletal outpatients.

  • BSc Degree /Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Health Professions Council Registration (HPC)
  • Documented evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Evidence of good evaluations of undergraduate placements

Desirable

  • Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Experience and knowledge required

  • Broad range of undergraduate experience on placements

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the role of Community Trust Physiotherapy Services
  • Supervision of less experienced staff, students Assistants and Technical Instructors
  • Broad based rotational experience in an NHS environment
