An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Adult Continence Nurse Specialist to join our vibrant and hard working team at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic healthcare professional, with substantial experience in continence promotion.
The successful candidate is expected to be highly motivated, dedicated with a passion for excellence in patient care, along with excellent communication and organisational skills
Although we are a county wide service this position will primarily be located in the north of the county, any candidate should be prepared to travel and cover High Peak & Dales.
An Enhanced DBS for Adults is required for this post.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a key role in delivering a high quality of nursing through assessing, planning and evaluating care for all clients. To give expert, autonomous advice and implement care in an area that requires highly specialist knowledge and skills. To work alongside a range of clinical colleagues to maximise patient care and experience.
To promote continence and provide specialist assessment and diagnostic intervention enabling treatment and management packages of care for patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction.
To provide specialist advice and training on the promotion of continence for individual patients, staff and carers as required.
Act as an expert resource to other professionals, patients and carers
