Are you a looking for an opportunity to develop your leadership skills as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist as part of a well-established, supportive MDT providing a range of rehabilitation services?

Do you want exposure to a wide range of community based rehabilitation settings?

We have exciting, substantive opportunities for highly motivated Occupational Therapists with patient-centred approaches and a real passion for rehabilitation, to work in our forward thinking, friendly team.

Main duties of the job

Our integrated, multi-disciplinary team provides goal focused rehabilitation to support patients in their own homes and care homes.

The service is provided across 7 days, 8.00am-6.30pm and is a rapid response service to prevent admissions and support discharges from hospital.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills of specialist therapy assessment and treatment in a community setting, alongside developing additional generic skills to provide a comprehensive assessment to a variety of complex patients.

As part of the role there will be a need for travel and transportation of equipment in Derbyshire and the surrounding area.As a clinical employee it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.

About us

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire , as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

  • Varied Band 5 clinical experience that must include a physical setting
