Job summary
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic B5 Speech and Language Therapists to join our children's SLT team in the City team .
We would welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified SLTs.
There is dedicated support from a Speech and Language Therapist , experienced in coaching and developing Speech and Language Therapists at the start of their career. Our Band 5s believe this support is invaluable and gives them the best start to working in the NHS.
You will be part of a team providing a clinical service to children and young people with communication/eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties in a variety of settings, including education settings, nurseries, clinics and clients' homes.

Main duties of the job
We mainly work in local educational settings, using a collaborative approach to support families and keyworkers to understand their children's needs and how best to support them.
This involves direct assessment, as well as providing programmes and implementing environmental strategies.
We are a welcoming and caring team with excellent support structures in place for all colleagues.
It is Trust policy that for posts that are for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis and should have approval from their line manager this is possible before applying. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation, will receive a fixed term contract.
