Job summary

To manage telephone enquiries, respond to day-to-day enquiries and maintain an efficient message taking system. Initially with guidance and increasing in autonomy as confidence grows throughout the apprenticeship programme.

To provide first contact via telephone for any Quality Division Specialist Team queries. The majority of work is telephone based

To undertake any other appropriate admin duties as may be assigned from time to time.

The post holder will work towards completing a Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification.

Main duties of the job

Provide first point of telephone contact for staff/patients/visitors to the service and provide non-clinical information as required

To provide clerical and administrative support to the specialist services via the Triage line to support the delivery of effective and efficient services. This may include typing, photocopying and other duties appropriate to the role / service whilst ensuring work is produced in a timely and accurate manner

Adhere strictly to confidentiality and data protection rules and legislation particularly where the use of identifiable information about patients and/or organisations occurs.
