Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity in Amber Valley for a highly motivated, experienced and professional Occupational Therapist to support our Integrated Community Services.

You will be actively involved in the promotion of high quality care and the development of the service.

You will work alongside many other disciplines and MDT members, including the Team Lead and Clinical Leads for Physiotherapy and District Nursing.

This opportunity would suit an individual who would like to develop their leadership skills and support the development of the Occupational Therapists within the service.

You need to have passion for implementing quality and evidence-based practice into services.

You should be able to demonstrate professional, well-established and effective communication and leadership skills and be keen to support the education and development of other healthcare professionals and students.

Main duties of the job

To provide effective and evidenced based clinical and professional leadership to the community based therapy services, and Integrated Community Services (ICS) management team.

Acting at all times in accordance with the DCHS way leadership expectations and standards, enabling and achieving quality people, quality business and quality services.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
