Job summary
Derbyshire Community Health Services Infection Prevention & Control team support staff and services across the whole of Derbyshire.
We are keen to develop and expand the service we provide.
Therefore, we are pleased to offer the opportunity for an experienced Health Care Support Workers to join our team, on a part time basis of 30 hours per week.
The ideal people for this role will have a keen interest in Infection Prevention & Control and will ideally have experience as an IP&C champion, though all training and support will be provided. You will help to support the team to provide an excellent service to our colleagues across DCHS.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the Infection, Prevention and Control Team supporting delivery of an IP&C service across the organisation.
Following an induction period, the post holder will work independently, without the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to support the delivery of the Infection, Prevention and Control agenda.
The post holder will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills and will have the ability to communicate with all groups of staff
Applicants will need to have a full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle. The IP&C team support services across the whole of Derbyshire. Therefore, travel is an essential part of the role.
About us
The IP&C team consists of Specialist Nurses, Health Care Support Worker and the Deep Clean Team.
The Infection Prevention and Control Health Care Support Worker is a relatively new role to the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills and knowledge within IP&C.
You will be joining the team at an exciting period where we are aiming to develop and grow the team and the services we provide.
