We are looking for enthusiastic Trainee Podiatry Assistant to join our Podiatry Service in Derbyshire.

Full in house training will be provided by the department for the successful candidate to attain the Royal College of Podiatry's Podiatry Assistant qualification. Whilst training you will be assigned a mentor who will help guide you through the training process until qualification. You will be expected under supervision to treat patients in this trainee role.
Once you have successfully completed your training salary will move to band 3 Podiatry Assistant . We usually expect this to take around 12 months .
Main duties of the job
Once qualified you will -
- Treat non pathological nails, Gryphotic nails, Onychauxic nails,Psoriatic nails. Fungal nails and Involuted nails but excluding any with Onychocryptosis.
- To assist in Nail Surgery .
- Patient preparation for clinical procedures.
- To assist in casting
- Clinical Environment Preparation.
- To undertake routine home visits
- To be able to deliver Basic Life Support.
- Participating in cleaning rotas.
- Participate in Decontamination of instruments.
Administrative duties
- Information Management
- Record Keeping using computerised patient record system
- Changing appointments
