To lead and deliver the Children's Community Epilepsy Service, providing specialist clinical expertise, safeguarding, and triage for complex cases. To manage and develop the service, drive continuous improvement, and role-model high-quality practice within clinical governance framework
Main duties of the job
Provide specialist clinical care and triage for children with epilepsy, managing your own caseload and supporting the wider service. Deliver expert advice, communication and education to families, professionals and partner agencies. Lead service development, care pathways, care plans, training and quality improvement. Manage and supervise staff, support recruitment, performance and professional development, and ensure safe, evidence-based practice in line with NMC and organisational standards. Oversee workloads, governance, incidents, policies and resources to ensure high-quality, integrated, child-focused epilepsy care

- Registered Nurse, Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child)
- Degree level qualification or equivilent
- Proven evidence of continued professional development at post graduate level such as level 6/7 modules, in house leadership or development
- Evidence of education/CPD within the field of Children's Epilepsy
- PET 1 and 2 completion
- Extensive working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and policy
- Mentoring qualification
