Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Team in Norfolk.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic clinician to join our service in a development B5-B6 role.
Main duties of the job
To provide Speech and Language Therapy assessment, differential diagnosis and treatment for adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders. To provide education, training and advice to patients, carers, other health care professionals and voluntary organisations. To be involved in undertaking audits of the provision of speech and language therapy services within the designated team.

- Attainment of relevant qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy as recognised by RCLST and HCPC
Experience
Essential
- Undergraduate clinical experience in adult acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
Desirable
- Clinical experience as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Case load management experience.
- Evidence of study/research around an area of clinical interest
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Essential
- Basic knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions for acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Able to demonstrate functional understanding of the principles of equality and diversity within the context of SLT practice.
- Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work within an interdisciplinary team.
- Basic level of computer skill including use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Desirable
- Post graduate dysphagia training.
- Awareness of principles of clinical governance and audit.
