Clinical Operations Manager - Out of Hours

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered health care professional to work as Clinical Operations Manager, managing and leading the Out of Hours Community Nursing Team within the Intermediate Care and Urgent Community Response Directorate within NCH&C.

The Out of Hours team operates between 20:00-08:00 to deliver high standards of health care to patients within their homes across Norfolk and Waveney by assessing, planning and implementing urgent unplanned care.

You would be responsible for providing clear operational leadership and line management to the Out of Hours Team, which consists of a team of Nurses and Support Workers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional leadership of the Team, demonstrating a supportive and flexible leadership approach and a proactive, responsible attitude to promote confidence in the team and the service.

The post requires a confident, competent clinician with experiencing in managing a team and the challenges that this can bring. Experience of community working preferred but not essential.

The working day will be Monday-Friday with that will require flexibility in order to meet the needs of the service between the service operating hours.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical leadership and line management to the Out of Hours Service.To support staff to achieve and ensure competencies are maintained within the teams.To contribute in the delivery of high standards of health care to patients within their ownhomes, care homes, the travelling community and in clinics, by assessing, planning,implementing and evaluating packages of care.To ensure that Trust annual priorities and quality goals are embedded within the workforceby ensuring that all annual appraisals are complete within the team.

8. Operate on a four-week rolling rota no weekend working requirement.

Engage and lead on referral to discharge standard processes.
