Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Continence Specialist Team working across beautiful Norwich and South Norfolk within treatment clinics, domiciliary visits and residential homes. Full training will be given with an aim for you to prioritise your own workload, gain confidence in working alone and build valuable skills.
Good organisational and communication skills would be extremely beneficial in this role. Experience within Continence and/or the community would also be desirable.

Main duties of the job
- Work as a member of the integrated continence service, in conjunction with other professionals, to promote a holistic model of care in line with national best practice.
- Promotion of continence, first level surveillance and assessment of vulnerable adults.
- To work with all health care professionals, and statutory/non statutory agencies to provide a seamless, integrated service to our service users.

- Develop competence in and undertake the clinical skills required for the post, including Baseline Continence Assessment, basic bladder scanning, catheterisation, flow rate assessments, pelvic floor muscle exercise, visual assessment of external pelvic floor function, assessment of skin condition, fitting sheaths, bowel care, aids and equipment.
- Keep up to date with developments in the fields of continence care, engaging with local and national forums.
- To be responsible for the review of assessment of the patients continence needs and implementation of appropriate treatment plan or product provision, within clinics, care homes and patients own environment.
