Job summary
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic and dedicated Clinical Lead Nurse to join our Triage and Allocation Team within the South HUB.
A key part of this role will be to undertake clinical shifts weekly and support new and existing staff within the Team by overseeing their Clinical competency through shadowing and supervision.
This is a secondment position for one year starting May/June 2024. It will provide an opportunity for new challenges and development in a small, supportive and friendly team.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for assisting to manage the Triage and Allocation Team based in South Place. You will role model and provide quality clinical leadership and ensure that high standards of care are delivered and maintained. This role requires situational leadership skills, resilience and the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively.
A key part of this role will be to undertake clinical shifts weekly and support new and existing staff within the Team by overseeing their Clinical competency through shadowing and supervision.
You will be expected to promote direct links with the Urgent Community Response Team and Community Nursing Teams in the South Place.
You will need excellent communication skills and be prepared to work flexibly and collaboratively to meet the needs of the service. It is essential that you have evidence of professional competencies, and are able to effectively apply your knowledge and skills to weekly clinical practice with the ability to share your knowledge with the team in a range of ways. A sound understanding and knowledge of the current drive to transform community services is an essential requirement.
