We have a fabulous opportunity within our Warrington
Paediatric Audiology Service, based within the local multi professional Child Development
Centre for a highly experienced, enthusiastic and motivated senior
specialist Audiologist to join our team.
The work is community based; therefore it is
essential that the successful candidate is able to travel throughout the
organisation to meet the requirements of the role.
Main duties of the job
The Highly Specialist Audiologist/ Audiology Service Team Leader role is responsible for delivery
of a specialist and complex caseload eg. children under 5 years old or those
with complex additional needs and includes advanced testing and diagnostic assessments
of hearing. The postholder will be highly skilled in paediatric assessment
techniques and test protocols, including ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response)
testing for the purpose of diagnostic assessment following newborn hearing
screening. The role also involves responsibility
for the clinical and managerial leadership, service development and audit of
specific areas of the paediatric audiology service.

- HNC/BAAT I & II
- Registered as one of the following (or eligible for registration):
- HCPC as a Clinical Scientist
- RCCP as a Clinical Physiologist

- Evidence of postgraduate/registration study and formal training for specialist knowledge and continued professional development.
