Job summary
An opportunity has
arisen to work in Bridgewater Community Equipment Service. As a member of the team, you will be part of a
service which provides medical equipment such as beds and mobility aids to
members of the public to enable them to be discharged from hospital or to stay
safely in their own place of residence.
You will need to be enthusiastic and
hardworking, and able to communicate with empathy, for example, when collecting
equipment from bereaved families. We are looking for someone who enjoys working
with others as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
Our team
has undergone a lot of change in the last few years, which has been very
positive. There is now investment in training and support for the workforce,
along with regular 1-1s with line managers. The job is a very active one, but
break times are given. There is nowhere on site to buy food but there are
plenty of outlets only a very short drive away. There is a kitchen with fridge
and microwave and a large rest room, and also lockers and a shower. There is
free on-site parking for staff.
Main duties of the job
The post holder, as
part of a team, will be responsible for a number of tasks including delivering,
and setting up equipment in service users homes and collecting it when it is
no longer needed, along with various warehouse jobs such as stock control, assembly
of new equipment, and minor fault finding and correction. Health and safety
requirements are paramount, and training will be given on all aspects of the
role and how to do it in such a way that there is no harm to service users and
the workforce. The role has a physical element to it and you need to be able to
lift and manoeuvre items on wheels in and out of vans and houses.
About us
Flexible working will be considered for all roles.
Unfortunately, we do not hold a sponsor licence for working Visas.
