An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Band 7
Bladder and Bowel Care Team Leader to join a well-established Continence
Service in Warrington. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, flexible
and hardworking nurse with significant specialist continence experience to
become part of this small and effective team, working across Warrington Place
to promote excellent bladder and bowel health to the local population.
The ideal candidate must be motivated and have a passion
for service development and improvement, while having a commitment to personal
and staff development. You will manage and prioritise your time effectively to
provide excellent leadership within the team while also managing your own
clinical caseload.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a
systematic approach to the assessment, monitoring, review and evaluation of
bladder and bowel care provision and ensuring high quality care is provided to patients
and their families/carers.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring
Bladder and Bowel Care team staff are competent and confident in delivering
highly specialised and responsive nursing care provision and clinical pathways
in line with Trust policies, pathways, guidelines, and SOPs. They will also
co-ordinate the delivery of research-based educational curriculum to staff,
clients and carers whilst promoting integrated working with the Catheter Team
and the wider community services.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the adult continence team to
provide high quality continence care, providing individual specialised
continence assessments within community setting and the residential home
sector.
Act as a senior clinical professional within the
adult continence service; liaising with the wider community services to enhance
patient care.
To act as an independent autonomous practitioner,
providing specialist assessment, treatment and care of patients.
Undertake complex clinical assessments and ensure
the nursing team provides care in line with Trust and professional body
standards.
Plan capacity and demand to deliver a safe service
and contribute to patients being seen in a timely manner.
To deliver research-based training to clients and
carers across primary and secondary care and the private sector.
