Job summary
Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was established as
a NHS Trust in 2011, and as a NHS Foundation Trust in November 2014. The Trust
has a turnover of approximately £83M and employs approximately 1578 staff. We
deliver a wide range of community-based healthcare services primarily in Halton
and Warrington, as well as some networked services and specialised community
dental services across a much larger geography.
This post is based at Halton Child Development Centre, however clinical
work may take place in numerous locations including mainstream schools, special
school, nurseries, health centres and patient homes.
Our

Main duties of the job
We are
looking for an experienced HPCP registered Paediatric Physiotherapist with specialist
clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in service
development.
You will provide specialist physiotherapeutic assessment,
treatment and management of children 0-19 presenting with a wide range of
neurological, respiratory and orthopaedic conditions in a variety of settings You
will be heavily involved in training, supervising and clinically supporting
junior staff, assistants and students.

integrated therapy team. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply
theory and current evidence to practice and be willing to share knowledge and
excellent clinical practice with the integrated team and contribute to training
to the wider health and education MDT.
We are a
service that values continuing professional development, and you will be
provided with support to develop your clinical skills, as well as leadership
and management skills. You will contribute to the management supervision and
clinical supervision structure of the integrated paediatric physiotherapy and
occupational therapy team, as well as with students.
Multidisciplinary
and multi-agency working is a major part of the role and allows the team to
provide person centred, safe and joined up care. We contribute fully to the
SEND agenda and enjoy good relationships with our local authority colleagues,
wider MDT, and local parent groups. We also liaise closely with our clinical
colleagues in the tertiary centres.

- Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses up to masters level equivalent
- Registered with the Health Care Professions Council
- CSP membership or other body providing appropriate insurance.
- To be a member of CSP Specialist Interest Group related to area of specialism
