Job summary
The post holder
will carry out clinical interventions as directed by the Team Leader.
They will keep
accurate records on the IT System and all documentation.
They will help
ensure that equipment and the environment are cleaned according to Infection
Control Guidelines.
The role includes
liaising with other clinicians or administration staff and reporting as needed.
Clerical support
for the district nursing team is also required.
Acting as a
chaperone when necessary is part of the responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will keep accurate records of clients by
utilising the IT system and maintaining thorough documentation.
You will perform essential clinical skills as instructed by
a district nursing sister and under the supervision of a registered nurse,
including basic dressing, manual handling, and personal care.
As part of this role you will regularly check stock levels
and reorder necessary items through Shared Business Services.
Part of this role is to make sure that the environment and
all equipment are properly cleaned in line with Infection Control Guidelines.
You will store and transport blood samples and other
materials to the laboratory safely. You
will communicate effectively with team members and promptly report any changes
in a patients condition and offer support and guidance to patients, their
families, and carers. You will work collectively with other healthcare
professionals within the clinic setting.
