Job summary
As a
team leader in Treatment Rooms you will be responsible for the operational
management and co-ordination of the Community Nursing treatment rooms across
Halton, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of a high-quality effective
service. You will assist the Operational Manager and Clinical Lead in
maintaining operational, clinical, professional, organisational, and national
objectives. As the post holder you will have the autonomy to act independently
and will be responsible for leadership, maintaining and improving all aspects
of clinical governance, evidence-based practice and quality assurance. You will also be expected to
undertake highly complex assessments.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to be able to perform comprehensive complex patients and ensure delivery of
evidence-based care within the Treatment Room setting across sites in Halton. You will contribute in Multidisciplinary
meetings and work with other members of the wider multidisciplinary teams. You will be required to plan patients care
and perform a wide range of clinical skills required in the treatment room
service. You will adhere to the NMC code
of conduct and maintain a high standard or record keeping. To be able to work independently
maintaining best practice.
You will be required to
manage clinics, develop staff, and undertake clinical supervision.
You will be required to manage
all personnel issues including complex personnel issues within your own area of
responsibility including capability, conduct, behaviour, fraud and attendance
management. You will also within the service manage flexible working and
innovation appropriate to practice. You will lead the recruitment process,
undertaking interviews and the selection/interview process. The role will also be active in the retention
and professional development of staff, this will include undertaking Personal
Development Plans and use this information to devise and monitor action plans
to inform the training agenda through the Personal Development monitoring
process. You will ensure the induction,
preceptorship and mentorship programmes are implemented within area of
responsibility. Including development of competency packs.
