Job summary
We are looking to recruit band 7, Advanced Practitioner to work as part
of the Urgent Treatment Centre team, who will be responsible for providing high
quality health care and information to the public. An opportunity exists for an
experienced and highly motivated practitioner with relevant Adult experience
who is committed to making a valuable contribution to the further development
of these successful and pioneering services.
The services offer treatment for minor injuries and minor ailments 365
days per year, and are open from 8am 9:00 pm.
If you have post qualification experience in A&E, Walk-in Centre or
Urgent Care with recent experience in the treatment of minor ailments and
injuries we would like to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
To
act as a senior clinical professional within Widnes Urgent Treatment Centre.
Liaising with the UTC team and colleagues across the wider social and health
care environment to promote, maintain and enhance effective multidisciplinary
patient care. To act as an independent autonomous practitioner to provide
specialist advice to patients and staff which contributes to assessment,
diagnosis, care and treatment of clients.
Possess
and demonstrate extended skills in the management of a wide range of health
care problems i.e. minor illness and injury. Exercise professional autonomy and
clinical judgement in managing or referring clients to a variety of primary and
secondary care services as appropriate.

- Act

- In
collaboration with the Team Leaders promote the development and effectiveness
