Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen, based at our administration hub in Middleton Manchester.
The post holder will be required to work full time 37.5 hours (Mon-Fri) as a member of our administration/reception team. They will be responsible to provide and co-ordinate an efficient customer focussed reception and administration service to include a full range of secretarial, clerical, and administrative duties to support the dental clinical team, and patients and their carers who access the community dental service.
The position is fundamentally for the administration hub at Middleton Manchester. However, we adopt a flexible working approach across the wider Dental Directorate footprint. Therefore, travel may on occasion be required to attend meetings, training or to cover colleagues at other premises such as Bury Moorgate Primary Care Centre, Heywood Phoenix Centre and Rochdale Nye Bevan House. Trafford/Altrincham, Lever Chambers Bolton, Leigh Health Centre Leigh, Kingsgate Stockport and Ashton and Hyde.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for booking new patients assessments into the diaries of all the Greater Manchester Clinics from referred patients.
Responsible for all administration duties connected with patients appointments, the efficient running of electronic appointment and patient records system (Dentally), including telephone and face-to-face communications, other duties to ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the dental service.
To carry out general clerical duties, Book appointments, collecting patient registration details, exemption status documentation/
To ensure an effective and timely Referral Management Service for the Dental Directorate and to support patients and patient carers through all aspects of the pathway.
To receive, process and accurately enter patient sensitive/confidential information onto the electronic clinical appointment and patient record systems, ensuring all user fields are completed and updated each visit.
Monitoring, processing, and logging referrals, organizing appointments directly with patients/carers via telephone and letter.
Receive and divert telephone calls and record comprehensive and messages from patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals, Analyze the information received and determine the appropriate action and priority for the attention of clinicians.
