Job summary

**Please note, this is an internal position for Bridgewater and WHH staff only**

You will take the Professional lead on safeguarding adults, including MCA, working in collaboration with Local Authorities and Commissioners to provide a high quality, evidence based service. The post holder will ensure the delivery of quality care to adults at risk within Bridgewater Community Healthcare Foundation Trust (BHCFT). This includes being a source of expertise for BHCFT and promoting excellent standards of professional practice in relation to safeguarding adults at risk: The Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

Interviews will be held on 22/01/26.

Main duties of the job

Provide expert advice and support to BCHFT on its statutory and legislative duties for safeguarding adults at risk.

Establish robust communication networks and strong partnerships with Local Authorities, CCG Safeguarding Team and within BCHFT

Ensure that a training strategy is developed and continually evaluated for the organisation that supports staff in practice in relation to safeguarding adults, Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

Interpret acts of law, national and local safeguarding boards guidance to ensure the trust safeguarding policies and procedures across all directorates relating to adults at risk are robust and relevant

Ensure that robust communication streams and formal reporting is available on many levels through both the Multi-agency Safeguarding Adults Board and Quality Boards that will underpin and maintain strong links with all stakeholders.

  • Support the delivery of the quality strategy within the designated area incorporating establishment of systems and processes.

  • Post registration Qualification at degree level
  • Evidence of study at Master level or relevant experience
  • Substantial post registration experience (at Level 1) including evidence of working with high exposure to adult safeguarding casework.
