Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and qualified senior clinical lead with specialist knowledge of neurodevelopmental presentations, assessment and intervention pathways to join our innovative, caring and visionary multi-disciplinary neurodevelopmental team in Leeds CAMHS.
This exceptional individual will provide clinical leadership in key areas across the pathway including with partners/commissioners at a local, regional and national level to encourage and embed a needs led approach when working with neuro diverse children and young people; and with the neurodevelopmental assessment team to provide high-quality, NICE compliant assessments of school-age children 5 - 18 years. The ND team is based in South Leeds and clinics are run across the city. The post will be mostly office based with some flexible home working.
Main duties of the job
As the clinical lead, you will be passionate about neurodiversity and have prior experience of assessment/diagnosis and support of children with neurodevelopmental conditions. You will be creative, innovative and decisive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; be able to navigate and excel within a complex and challenging context to influence and bring about much needed change. With the ongoing and significant increase in demand for neurodevelopmental assessments and associated wait times, the new role will help us to identify how we offer the best and most efficient service to support neuro diverse children and young people achieve good outcomes.
This will involve supervising and supporting colleagues within the assessment/pathway team and working/consulting with partners across the wider system including schools, targeted service clusters, mental health support teams and organisations from the voluntary and charitable sector to deliver a needs led approach.
