Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in establishing and developing the MindMate Support Team, which is a part of the Governments Green Paper ambitions to transform children and young peoples mental health, with one of the key priorities being to increase access to mental health support in schools and colleges. The MindMate Support Team offers early intervention support and currently has 4 MHSTs and have been successful in gaining funding for 4 additional teams.
We are looking to recruit a Clinical Team Manager to manage and support the team in providing high quality care to children, young people and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the service development of the early intervention mental health support in Leeds, as the post holder will work closely in the MMST leadership team as we expand the service to cover additional education settings across Leeds.
Main duties of the job
You will be involved in the management of one of the 3 teams in the city, holding operational and line management responsibility, as well as providing clinical leadership to the team alongside the Senior Practitioner.
You will also be involved in engaging education settings in working with the service and maintaining positive working relationships with partner agencies as we promote partnership working to meet the needs of children and young people.
You will hold a small clinical caseload, providing advice, consultation and training to education settings, and consultation and evidence-based interventions for children and young people presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
The Clinical Team Manager will work alongside the Service Manager, Team Managers, and senior clinical staff to ensure a high quality and accessible service. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and engagement skills alongside a commitment to improving service delivery.
