Job summary
This post is advertised at Band 5 and is appropriate to newly qualified staff or experienced clinicians. Depending on experience we may be able to hire at Band 6 or agree a competency framework to work through over 6 + months and if achieved could move onto B6 pay scale. The camhs outreach service (COS) provides intensive home treatment to young people and families with complex and enduring mental health difficulties. The team primarily operate Mon-Fri between hours of 9am and 5pm but must be willing to work 8am - 8pm where clinically indicated, additionally if required occasional weekend work may be required.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a small MDT you will intensively support young people and families with complex mental health needs, either where there is a risk of hospital admission or where their needs cannot be met in community camhs. The role involves home visits so you need to be able to travel independently around the city. The role involves intensive support for young people with eating disorders, including meal support and work with young people experiencing early onset psychosis. You will have a small caseload and offer intensive support. You must be interested in working with families systemically to undertake this role.
