Job summary
Following
the positive outcomes of the Home First Programme, including the successful
Active Recovery Pilot we now have a number of opportunities for senior
Occupational Therapists. These include Active Recovery, the Community
Assessment and Discharge Team and Neighbourhood Teams.
There is also an
opportunity available to look at a rotation across these areas within the Adult
Business Unit. In all roles you will work collaboratively with team members to
facilitate safe and timely discharges from hospital and to provide person
centred rehabilitation to adults within their home environment. You will have
professional freedom to work holistically, using health coaching and
self-management approaches whilst working towards the patients goals.
Main duties of the job
With
a focus on role of therapy to enable patient flow and improve outcomes there
will be opportunities to work with colleagues in developing therapy and
rehabilitation services across Leeds, enhancing your clinical and leadership
skills whilst also supporting other staff and students to develop within the
teams.
You will carry a caseload working autonomously to deliver and facilitate
rehabilitation to enable patients to manage their own goals, maximizing
opportunities to live a fulfilling life.
The role promotes remote working over 7 days between 8am and 6pm.
Weekend/unsocial hours attract enhanced pay. We support a positive work life

The post holder will be
responsible for their own caseload within their speciality area as an
autonomous practitioner. In doing so, they will assess, plan, deliver and
evaluate patient centred programmes of care to a specialist level ensuring that
they practice within their sphere of competence and knowledge. The post holder
