An
exciting opportunity has arisen within Leeds Community Healthcare for an
enthusiastic and motivated Children's Physiotherapist to join our friendly,
dynamic and forward-thinking service.
The team delivers services to children 0-19 years with complex needs and
long-term neuro/neurodevelopmental conditions.
Children and families access the
service in a variety of venues including health centres, schools, nurseries and
their homes. You will work as part of a great MDT across our 3 bases to develop
in this specialist clinical area, as well as working with outside organisations
such as Education and the Local Authority.
Physiotherapists in our team use different consultation approaches such as
digital, face to face, and specialist treatment interventions to support our
families.
Due to the community nature of our service a U.K. car drivers licence and
access to a vehicle are essential.
The working hours we are offering for this role is 24 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Successful
applicants must be experienced working with children with neurological and
neuro-developmental conditions and be keen to continue developing clinical and
leadership skills.
Excellent communication and team working skills are
essential, with applicants able to handle complex, often challenging
conversations and help families set their own goals.
Candidates will deliver a
range of therapies including rebound, aquatic physiotherapy and land-based
sessions with training provided. You will be able to effectively prioritise
clinical work and other responsibilities and manage your own time. We encourage
staff to participate in and lead projects, audits and key workstreams to
develop the service. The successful applicant will support supervision of students
and junior staff.
We offer a full induction, ongoing clinical and managerial support from
experienced specialist staff and regular in-house training.

responsible for their own caseload within their speciality area as an
autonomous practitioner. In doing so, they will assess, plan, deliver and
evaluate patient centred programmes of care to a specialist level ensuring that
they practice within their sphere of competence and knowledge. The post holder
will work to professional and regulatory body codes, standards and guidance at
all times ensuring that their practice is grounded in evidence based
theoretical and practical knowledge.
