Job summary
The Integrated Children with Additional Needs (ICAN) service are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our existing multi-disciplinary team. This is an exciting time for ICAN as we continue to develop a seamless service for children and young people and their families. We are proud of all we achieve in the ICAN service and to fulfil our vision we have developed a new advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) role. Hours of work are 0.8 WTE/ 30 hours per week at Band 8a.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking ACP with excellent communication skills, leadership and organisational skills and the ability to motivate and support others through change and service development. Key responsibilities include working towards delivery of the four pillars of advanced practice. The successful candidate will have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary community setting for children and young people with diagnosed and emerging neurodisability including autism and learning disabilities. Experience of assessing children with suspected autism and supporting families post diagnosis as you will be working as a part of our pre-school suspected autism pathway. Knowledge of IT systems including SystmOne, ICE and Datix would support the successful candidate in their day-to-day work.
