Job summary

The Clinical Systems Management Team (CSM) is inviting expressions of interest for an 18-month secondment as a Clinical Advisor (Band 7) to support the optimisation of the electronic patient record (EPR) for the services within the Childrens and Specialist Business units. This will include working on focused projects lead by the clinical systems management team. This is fantastic opportunity for a registered clinician to directly improve ways of working and the delivery of patient care. You will be working closely with services to develop and improve their electronic patient record (EPR) using clinical experience to bridge the gap between clinical practice and clinical systems. You should be proficient in the use of SystmOne but further technical (IT) knowledge is not required as the role will be supported by existing Clinical Advisors, Clinical System specialists and SystmOne training team. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week until March 2025

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for: Providing clinical input to support the development of sustainable clinical information systems. Working closely with clinical and corporate services to continually develop systems proactively ensuring data collected is relevant and accurate and supports the development of a comprehensive electronic patient record. Developing new and innovative clinical information practices responding to emerging knowledge and anticipating technology developments Developing and delivering appropriate practical training to clinical staff Capturing and evaluating the benefits of using clinical systems from a quality and efficiency perspective Identifying areas of future development to support the mobilisation of suitable resources to address these. 4. Partnership and Team Working

Actively develops and maintains effective clinical and corporate working relationships both within and outside the Trust including with other agencies and Higher Education Institutes where appropriate 4.2. Actively develops and maintains working relationships with Clinical Software suppliers, Health and Social Care Information Centre, Commissioning Acre Groups, GPs, other NHS and Non NHS Care providers which use the shared record 4.3. Create effective working partnerships with internal stakeholders including clinical services, Electronic Patient Record and Informatics Boards plus the Project Management Office ensuring partners are informed of EPR development plans and provided with an opportunity to respond and effect future progress.

4.4. Explores the potential for collaborative working and takes opportunities to initiate and sustain such relationships in order to improve service delivery by developing and using effective data systems
