This post is for employees of Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust & the Leeds GP Confederation only and is fixed term until the 30th June 2024.
An
exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 8 Operational Lead within
the Leeds Sexual Health Service. These services are made up of specialist
nurses, Consultants, Health Care Advisors, Health Care Assistants and a variety
of other support staff.
Main duties of the job
We
are looking for an experienced, passionate, dynamic, and flexible individual
who is able to adapt to changing demands and workload. You will be a natural
leader, enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have an interest
in service development. You will be a good team player, but also be able to
work independently.
You will have knowledge and experience of managing people such as recruitment,
induction, staff training, and managing staff capacity to meet service demands
including annual leave approval and managing sickness absence

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be
responsible and accountable for delivering and influencing the delivery of a
defined service. In doing so, they will support the senior management team to
deliver strategic targets and be responsible for the operational management of
the service. The post holder will work to professional and regulatory body
codes, standards and guidance at all times ensuring that their practice is
grounded in evidence based theoretical and practical knowledge. They will be
responsible for developing new and innovative practices responding to emerging
knowledge and techniques.

undertaking clinical practice at a frequency agreed with senior

Works to standards of advanced proficiency
identified by their professional and regulatory bodies

- Post graduate learning to Masters level or equivalent
- Appropriate statutory professional body registration (where applicable)

- Leadership and management qualification
