Job summary
The MindMate Support Team (MMST) are looking for multiple practitioners to join our expanding service. We are looking for dynamic individuals who enjoy multisystemic working and can engage across the service. MMST offers early intervention mental health support to children, young people and their families within schools, colleges, and education provisions across Leeds. The service is made up of a range of registered health professionals. We are now looking for registered health professionals with at least 18 months post qualifying experience of working with children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties to join our growing service. We have permanent positions available in various locations across Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills within an early intervention, evidence based service with a supportive leadership team.
Main duties of the job
We welcome clinicians who can work autonomously and hold a complex caseload of children and young people with varying levels of risk. You should embrace teamworking across wider services including CYPMHS service and third sectors services. You will have a positive approach to change and be forward thinking in your outlook. Your role will add value and contribute to the development of this service by: Providing consultation, training, advice, and support to staff in education settings as part of the Whole Setting Approach Offering high quality early direct intervention support to young people and their families who are experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing difficulties. Supporting and supervising colleagues within the teams Decision making regarding referrals and liaison with other services Working with multiple services on various sites across the city; liaising with staff; helping to develop pathways; partnership working. Provide dynamic flexible support which is needs led to all areas of the city. The MMST are committed to supporting continued professional development as this enables us to provide a high quality care and service. A typical day within this role could include: -Offer direct work with young people and families across the city - this may be extended consultations/LI - CBT based intervention/signposting support. -Indirect support - offering whole setting approach activities inc: assemblies, YP workshop,education staff training, providing adhoc supervision on a rota'd basis. -Education setting liaison - this will included staff consultations, completing regular audits of whole school approach work. -Offer formal supervision to colleagues -Regular support rota duties -Service development opportunities - practitioner meetings, clinical governance, team meetings, leading working groups. -You will be managing your own diary and will include travel to schools and hybrid teams meetings.
