Job summary
Wharfedale Recovery Hub is an adult rehabilitation and recovery service supporting people to regain independence following illness, injury or hospital admission. The Hub provides short term, person centred rehabilitation in a supportive, multi disciplinary environment, working closely with therapy, nursing, medical and social care colleagues to help individuals return home safely. Our service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we are proud of our focus on compassionate care, dignity, and recovery focused outcomes. We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Wharfedale Recovery Hub. You will play a vital role in supporting adults through their rehabilitation and recovery journey, working under the direction of registered nurses and therapists.
Main duties of the job
You will provide high quality personal care and rehabilitation support, helping patients to maximise their independence, confidence and wellbeing. This role includes working day and night shifts on a 24/7 rota. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality, person centred care to adults in a rehabilitation setting Support patients with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily living activities Assist with rehabilitation programmes as directed by therapists and nursing staff Monitor and report changes in patients physical or emotional wellbeing Accurately record care and observations in line with Trust policies Work collaboratively as part of the multi disciplinary team Promote dignity, respect, privacy and independence at all times You will be: Caring, reliable and committed to delivering excellent patient care Able to work flexibly across days and nights, including weekends Confident working with adults who may have complex rehabilitation needs A good communicator who works well within a team Willing to undertake relevant training and development Previous experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation or care setting is essential For more Information about this Job, please contact - Paula Simpson - paula.simpson3@nhs.net Please review the Job Description and Person Specification attached for full requirements of the role.
