Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our Children's Community Nursing Service. We have positions within our Continuing Care & Health Short Breaks team where we provide respite in the family home.
Our service specialises in caring for children and young people with multiple complex health needs & learning disabilities. We work 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and therefore you will normally work a mix of days, nights, weekends and bank holidays although we do support applications for flexible working when we can.
Whilst this is a clinical role, we do not expect candidates to have previous clinical experience, but some experience working with children is beneficial.
You will receive a full package of training and will be well supported by an experienced team of nurses. The role will involve some travel so access to a transport with business insurance cover will be required.

Within this role there is scope to develop your knowledge and skills and if you wish you can apply to progress to become a band 4 Associate Practitioner.
We work a cross service model of working, so you will spend time and work with our other clinical teams (Hannah House, Specialist Inclusion Learning Centres and Children's Nursing team).
