Senior Physiotherapist
The closing date is 27 November 2025
Job summary
Are you a physiotherapist experienced in working in adult rehabilitation? Are you passionate about working in a community role? Do you believe in providing the best care to every person in Leeds?
We welcome your application to join our therapy team at Wharfedale Recovery hub, based in Otley. Home first is the ideal outcome for many patients leaving hospital, but a temporary stay in a setting that can provide 24-hour re-habilitation is sometimes required. The Recovery hubs enable early discharge from hospital and reduce hospital admissions.
We deliver complex care whilst empowering patients and work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. We provide training, clinical supervision and access to a peer support network. We work on a shift pattern covering 7 days a week; there may be times where you may be required to work across our other 3 hub sites, therefore it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
Main duties of the job
You will provide Therapy interventions between the hours of 8am and 6pm, 7 days a week, (on a rotational basis). Your role will be to work with colleagues to assess and provide Physiotherapy interventions and advice as required. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with registered nursing, occupational therapy and therapy assistant practitioners. You will work to deliver and facilitate rehabilitation programs to enable patients to manage their own goals, maximizing opportunities to live a fulfilling life. You will work closely with patients and their families/carers in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of treatment and/or care by using person-centred techniques to promote a culture of involvement and empowerment.
This is for a fixed term for 12 Months.
