Job summary
Clinical governance processes enable the Trust to provide evidence to patients, the public, commissioners and to statutory bodies that the Trust provides services that are safe, effective, responsive, caring, patient centred, well led, timely, efficient and equitable. The Clinical Governance Team provide assurance of high-quality care to the LCH Trust Board and support clinical services to achieve that assurance by leading a culture of clinical excellence to enable delivery of safe, high quality care to patients that is evidenced by good outcomes and patient feedback, listening to the peoples voice to continuously learn and improve. The Clinical Governance Team are responsible and accountable for continually improving the quality of our services and safeguarding high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish and thrive. Job Purpose The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality, effective, integrated administration support service within the Clinical Governance Team whilst reacting to and implementing change to the service as directed by their line manager.
Main duties of the job
oull provide a high standard, effective, integrated administration support service for the CGT and will include: Being the first point of contact for services, ensuring all telephone calls are received and dealt with in a courteous and diplomatic manner. Ensuring specified tasks are completed within the agreed timeframe and within the boundaries of competence. Creating, managing and maintaining electronic and paper based systems to support the CGT. Ensuring internal and external communication i.e. post/ is distributed appropriately and dealt with in a timely manner. Arranging and booking meetings for CGT ensuring rooms are appropriate for use, including hospitality and equipment if required. Diary management for the CGT and co-ordinating CGT meetings Supporting the CGT with preparation of agendas and information packs for meetings, sub-committees; and taking notes/minutes at meetings. Monitoring, ordering and maintaining stock. Maintaining spreadsheets and records, inputting data relating to clinical governance work e.g. policies and guidelines, audits, Friends and Family Test. Ordering goods and services through an approved supplier and be an authorised signatory for stock within an agreed level if required within service area. To provide administration support for the Clinical Governance Officers and appropriate cover if required within an agreed area to maintain service provision. Participate in audits within the scope of the role.
