Job summary
The Proactive Support Service for Children and Young People is a newly developed service by Leeds Health and Care Partnership.
We are looking for a clinical team manager who is passionate about working with children, young people, families and carers. The Clinical Team manager will work alongside the Consultant Psychologists to provide clinical leadership and support a small team of clinicians to ensure young people and their support systems receive a timely response to meet their needs when there are escalating risks and placements are nearing point of breakdown.
The new service will work closely with and be co-located with the Corporate Parenting Team in the Council, working in an integrated way with other health and care services available to our children and young people with escalating needs. There will be a richness of clinical skills and expertise in the team, from a Consultant Psychologist, Nurses and Speech/Occupational Therapy. We are wanting forward thinking, innovative practitioners to join this new service, each must have the child and young person, their family and paid carers at the heart of what they do, and they must not be afraid of breaking down barriers, building new processes and ways of working which reflect excellent practice and partnership working across our system.
Employed by LCH your role will be embed with the Local authority linking with teams supporting these children and young people.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical team manager will ensure processes are embedded and strong links are developed and nurtured with wider care teams across the partnership.
They will hold a small caseload whilst also being responsible for the operational running of the team and clinically supporting the new team alongside the Consultant Psychologist.
The focus will be to work alongside the Consultant Psychologist to develop the service, key responsibilities will include: establishing working relationships with other agencies; developing co-production with young people, developing working practices for the team ensuring SOPs are in place. Lead the Quality agenda, carry out audit as required, providing performance data. The team manager will also be responsible for the line management of the team, including providing supervision, setting work plans and all ensuring all operational process are in place.
The successful applicant will hold a healthcare registration (such as a NMC) and will have some understanding and experience of working with Young People and/or people who are experiencing escalating risks and placements are nearing point of breakdown.
Previous experience as a team manager would be preferable
