Job summary
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Rota Coordinator/Admin lead to support our Healthcare service within Police Custody. This role involves managing complex staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage across multiple locations, and providing efficient administrative support to the team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining staff rotas, coordinating shift cover, and ensuring compliance with working time regulations. Additionally, you will oversee key administrative tasks, including record-keeping, managing staff availability, and liaising with team managers to ensure smooth operations.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the role:
- Build, manage and maintain rotas to ensure full coverage of all shifts across a 24/7 service.
- Work closely with the Clinical Team Managers to address staffing needs and manage shift changes.
- Ensure compliance with working time regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate shift allocations and changes clearly to staff.
- Monitor leave requests, availability and ensure fair distribution of shifts.
- Identify opportunities for improving rosters and rota efficiency.
