Job summary
The Central North District Nursing teams are recruiting to the role of Community Healthcare Assistants.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with good communication skills and a passion for caring for patients in their own homes.
We are a busy team working across 7 days to provide excellent care to our patients.

Main duties of the job
Experience of clinical work in the community is desirable but training will be offered to the successful applicant. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will undertake our in-house development program for extended skills which will involve insulin administration, injections and wound care.
You will implement all aspects of direct care including personal hygiene, toileting, moving and handling to ensure patients are safely and comfortably positioned and assisting the patient to mobilise whilst maintaining the safety of both patient and staff member.
Assist with the admission and discharge of patients with due regard toorganisational policies and procedures. Escort patients to other departments or areas for treatment, investigation orrehabilitative purposes.
Observe patient's condition and behaviour reporting changes promptly andaccurately. Undertake baseline patient observations, Temperature, Pulse, Respirations, Blood Pressure, Pulse Oximetry and Blood Glucose Monitoring with appropriate training
