Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Central Admin Office Manager to join our Community Dental Service (CDS).

The purpose of the role is to manage, develop and ensure a high quality, comprehensive and responsive administrative support function to the Community Dental Service (CDS), especially focused on the operational interface of the administrative team and clinical teams. The post will provide leadership to the patient facing community dental service reception team and will work as an integral part of the Dental Senior Management Team (SMT).

Main duties of the job

  • To provide high quality leadership of the dental receptionist team to ensure efficient and effective administrative processes are developed and embedded to enable administrative functions to optimise patient care.
  • To provide office management that interfaces with administrative and clinical functions of the dental service to support service delivery, leading the innovation of processes to dynamically support service (and wider system) strategy, plans and vision.
  • To provide effective leadership to the dental reception team, including line management of staff and recruitment of administrative staff.
  • Management of workforce to enable delivery of administrative function in the event of unexpected absence or vacancy ensuring appropriate reception cover at all locations.
