Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Special Educational Needs & Disability Administration Co-ordinator in our Targeted Support Services team.
This posts sits within the Targeted Services Administration team. The post has recently been redesigned to meet the needs of the increasing demand in SEND. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to and further develop the role. The post holder will act as single point of contact for SEND related communication , for children and their families, health care professionals, local authorities and other stakeholders and will support Health and Education partners to meet their statutory responsibilities to identify and meet children and young people's needs in a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have significant experience working in an administrative role and in a busy environment and will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
We will provide in-house training and support and you will have the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge whilst working within a friendly and established team.
The post involves working together with clinical teams in Shropshire Community Health and SEND teams in other organisations for the benefit of the child. A knowledge and understanding of SEND would be beneficial for this post.
You will have a pleasant telephone manner, be friendly and approachable and be able to deal with conflict in a calm and efficient manner; you should enjoy working in a busy team but be able to use your initiative when necessary.
You don't need to have worked in healthcare before, as long as you possess the above qualities and are willing and eager to learn new skills.
