Bridgnorth Hospital is currently recruiting to multiple Healthcare Assistant roles to work on the Agnes Campbell Ward on our rehabilitation unit
Main duties of the job
Implement all aspects of direct care including personal hygiene, toileting, moving and handling to ensure they are safely and comfortably positioned and assisting the patient to mobilise whilst maintaining the safety of both patient and nurse.
Assist with the admission and discharge of patients with due regard to organisational policies and procedures.
Escort patients to other departments or areas for treatment, investigation or rehabilitative purposes.
Observe patient's condition and behaviour reporting changes promptly and accurately.

Promotes a can do attitude and determination to develop and sustain a dynamic and responsive clinical and administrative support service within a community Hospital setting which delivers best practice.To observe the general behaviour, ability and response of patients/clients and to record the information and report to qualified staff as and when required. To deal appropriately with interruptions, unpredictable events and behaviours.
To organise and deliver skilled clinical support work without direct supervision. This will include individual or group treatments with children or young people and may be in a variety of settings.
Gain valid informed consent and work within legal frameworks with patients.
To liaise with nursing and therapist with regard to patient care, highlighting any variations to expected outcomes from agreed treatment programmes.
To provide basic verbal and written clinical reports for supervising Nurse and therapist and to document patient interventions/findings in patient records in line with professional body and Trust standards.
