Job summary

We are offering an excellent opportunity to work flexibly supporting our Children's Occupational Therapy Service as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. This Bank role would suit individuals who are looking to develop their skills in occupational therapy and who are wishing to gain experience of working with children, young people and families within the community setting.

We wouldwelcome applications from student AHPs looking for additional out of term time work or if you are considering returning to practice as an occupational therapist this would be an opportunity to take that first step.

The successful applicants will join an enthusiastic and friendly team of Children's Occupational Therapists( OT's). We provide professional support by senior staff through training, peer review and supervision.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and conscientious individual to work with the established therapy team. You will carry out dutiesdelegated by registeredstaffto assist, supervise and instruct children, families and education support staff in activities relating to occupational therapy treatment programmes. You will be working across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin in a variety of settingsincluding school and nurseries.

You will need to demonstrate high standards of interpersonal and communication skills. You should be able to prioritise your workload, manage your time effectively, and work flexibly within the team.
