Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, motivated and compassionate Band 6 Dietitian to join the specialist weight management team based in Kensington and Chelsea. The post holder will work part-time as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care to adults living with obesity, including those managing complex health conditions. Main duties of the job

  • Provide individualised, person-centred care using evidence-based approaches to support sustainable weight management and improved health outcomes.
  • Deliver interventions in a variety of settings, including community clinics, virtual platforms, group sessions and patients' homes.
  • Plan and facilitate inclusive group education sessions focused on nutrition, behaviour change and lifestyle modification.
  • Collaborate effectively within the MDT, which includes dietitians, psychologists, physiotherapists and consultants, valuing the diverse expertise of all team members.
  • Contribute to case discussions, care planning, and shared decision-making within MDT meetings.
  • Support patients with complex health needs, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease or disordered eating patterns, while recognising and respecting individual differences and lived experiences.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
  • Contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior staff or students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

  • HCPC registration as a Dietitian.

Experience

  • Experience managing patients with obesity or long-term conditions.
  • Ability to manage own caseload and prioritise workload.

Desirable

  • Experience working in community dietetics or weight management services.
