Specialist Podiatrist

The closing date is 28 April 2026

Job summary

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist to join our inclusive and supportive Brent and Harrow Specialist Care Team.

We are seeking a full time post holder to join the team, following the promotion of a valued colleague. We welcome applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds who are passionate about delivering high quality community based care.

This is an exciting time to join the service. We are continuing to strengthen our existing models of care while introducing innovative ways of working. Over the next 12 months, our focus includes deeper integration with primary care, enhancing both planned and unplanned care pathways, and driving a population health approach, all supported by a forward thinking and supportive senior leadership team.

As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to service development and play a key role in improving patient outcomes and experiences across the community.

In this role, you will deliver high quality, person centred podiatry care, working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team. You will also support the day to day running of the service, contributing to clinical standards, service improvement, and the development of junior staff.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide specialised podiatry treatments using advanced skills and knowledge.
  • Autonomously assess, diagnose, and manage patients, including those with high-risk factors.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment and care plans, adopting a problem-solving approach and engaging patients and carers in their care.
  • Deliver general and specialist foot health advice, including carrying out regular nail surgery sessions on a rotational basis.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Delegate appropriate care tasks to podiatry assistants when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments and treatment plans.
  • Ensure clinical rooms and equipment meet infection control standards and Podiatry service guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical standards, protocols, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain focus and precision while performing complex, physically demanding procedures in a busy clinical environment.

These roles are ideal for motivated clinicians who are committed to inclusive, community-based care and who want to develop their skills within a progressive and welcoming service.
