We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Early Years Team. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your expertise in delivering high quality support to pre school children and their families within clinic settings.
In this role, you will work closely with parents, carers, school staff and other professionals to support children with a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties. You will play a key part in assessing children, developing and implementing tailored interventions, and empowering families through involvement in the planning and prioritisation of the care plans.
You would be joining a welcoming team who offer regular support meetings with senior colleagues, access to clinical specialists for support and opportunities for continuous professional development.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide assessment and specialist clinical service with responsibility to a caseload specific to the role for children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs including- DLD, ASD, speech sound difficulties, stammering and selective mutism.
You would be working directly with children both in groups and individually, as well as offering advice and strategies to school staff and parents.
This role requires the ability to form productive relationships with others including school staff and other professionals and the ability to maintain sensitivity at all times to the emotional needs of children and their families/carers.
The post holder will be accountable for own professional actions and recognise own professional boundaries, seeking advice from senior colleagues as appropriate. The post holder will also provide agreed supervision and peer review support to less experienced colleagues and students, including second opinions when necessary. Within this role you will also deliver training/courses to staff as relevant to the post, for example, specific in-service training across settings to a variety of audiences such as parents and staff in nursery settings.
