Job summary
The Materials Management Operative is a customer-facing role requiring a strong customer service work ethic and commitment to being always proactive and positive. The role will require working in a team, operating the Trust's goods inwards / outwards systems for delivering goods to Wards and Departments. The post holder will be expected to assist customers who come to the Main Stores, checking goods received against delivery documents and picking and packing supplies as per requisitions received from Services within the Trust.
To work as part of Materials Management team to carry out: Receipting and distribution of all goods ordered. To review stock levels and manage stock inventory in line with clinical activity, and scan, order and put away as per the schedule.
This role requires the post holder to be physically fit.

Monday to Friday (7.5 hours shifts) , Core hours are between 7-5
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be in daily contact with ward and service managers and staff within the hospitalProcurement - Clinical Specialists, Contracts Team, Customer ServicesDivisional team engagementWard review meetingsH&S to include Major IncidentFinance - e-Financials Systems Team, Accounts Payable.Other hospital services including Facilities, EstatesAll levels of Trust staff
