Nursing Associate - Belgravia District Nursing Team

Job summary

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our multi-professional team. This role works closely with Registered Nurses and other clinicians to assess, plan, organise and deliver high-quality clinical care that meets individual patient needs and service priorities.

Nursing Associates provide holistic, person-centred care across the lifespan and across all fields of nursing, supporting people of all ages in a variety of care settings. The role combines independence and accountability, while working under the leadership and supervision of Registered Nurses and within the nursing scope of practice.

This post offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to patient care while developing professionally within a supportive and collaborative environment. The role is underpinned by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code and standards of proficiency, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care at all times.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver safe, effective and compassionate person-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for people with a range of health needs, including long-term and complex conditions
  • Monitor physical and mental health, recognise deterioration and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Administer medication in line with Nursing Associate guidelines and organisational policy
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and use clinical systems in accordance with Trust requirements
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Promote dignity, equality, inclusion and safeguarding in all aspects of care
  • Support risk management, incident reporting and quality improvement activities
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary working, service development and patient experience initiative
  • Support and supervise learners and colleagues, acting as a positive professional role model
  • Maintain professional competence through ongoing learning, reflective practice and adherence to the NMC Code

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
  • Educated to a minimum level 5 Foundation degree level specific to nursing associate practice
  • GCSEs Grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Care Certificate

Experience

  • Previous experience of working within a health / care setting in the field of area applied for
  • Relevant experience of working self-directed or as part of a team.
