Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare are now looking for an adaptable, motivated, innovative, and resourceful Administrator who will be working within the MSK Service at Edgware Community Hospital to enable the efficient and effective function of administration.

The successful applicant will need to be resourceful; sensitive to the team's dynamics and needs and have the ability to work unsupervised as well as plays a part in supporting the wider function of the admin team.

The ability to prioritise tasks, finding solutions to process problems and to structure own workload whilst working as part of a team is essential. In addition, the ability to remain calm and present an understanding approach at all times are essential criteria for this post, along with excellent IT skills with experience in spreadsheets and databases and excellent communication,

There will be a requirement for the successful applicant to demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and peers and the wider team

This is a part-time post working 22.5 hours per week, 3 days a week.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high-quality administrative support to theteam
  • The post holder will assist in organising the team's workload and manage diaries.
  • The post holder will take responsibility for booking clinics, processing new referrals, updating waiting lists and communicating appointment related information to patients/carers.
  • Support temporary staff and support day to day running of the office.
  • Post holder will be working closely with the MSK team to support the service manager, andteam leads with day-to-day admin queries and appointment issues.
  • To support the MSK Clinical Lead and Therapies with tasks with the services.
  • To work closely with the Leads and support with queries and waiting list.

  • NVQ Admin Level 3 in Administration or Equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Secretarial and administrative experience in an office environment
  • Experience of working with the general public in a customer or client-facing role
  • Experience of inputting to databases, spreadsheets and/or other IT Systems and business applications used in the office environment
  • Experience of taking, producing, and distributing notes as directed

Desirable

  • Experience of working with patients and carers in a public sector environment
  • Experience of working in a health care environment
  • Knowledge of petty cash and stock ordering procedures
